Alias Node — Privacy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Alias Node creates Umbra Network aliases in sign-up forms, and warns you when a page impersonates another site.
What is linked to your account
To create and manage your aliases, the extension sends Umbra Network the alias, the site it was created on and that site's name, so you can recognise it in your list.
Page checks are anonymous
To warn you, the extension checks the sites you visit. These checks are encrypted and anonymous: they are not linked to your account, and they reach us without your IP address. You can turn them off in your Umbra settings, under Phishing alerts.
What stays on your device
The content of the pages you visit and what you type on them are never sent. Your access stays on this device, protected by a key that cannot be copied.
What we never do
No ads, no analytics, no tracking. We never sell or share your data.
Your choices
You can disconnect or uninstall the extension at any time; it then erases what it kept. Your aliases can be managed or deleted on umbranetwork.net.
